Black British book festival launches publisher

BBBF organiser Selina Brown announced the new project, focusing on undiscovered authors, following a decline in the publication of Black literature

The organiser of the Black British book festival, Selina Brown, announced earlier this month that the festival will launch a publishing collaboration with Pan Macmillan, focusing on “raw talent”, in particular writers who have not been traditionally published.

The publisher will commission adult and children’s books, set to hit shelves from 2027.

WhatsApp Might Soon Let You Set a Profile Cover Photo, Just Like Facebook and LinkedIn

WhatsApp could soon allow normal users to keep cover photos on their accounts. The inclusion of the cover image feature was spotted on the WhatsApp 2.25.32.2 beta for Android version, via the Google Play Beta programme. The feature is not visible to beta testers. Once rolled out, this feature will let users express their personality through a customisable cover photo. It will be displayed as a prominent banner at the top of the profile.
