The Game Awards announced the full list of nominees for the best games in 2025 across multiple categories. Acclaimed RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 led with 12 nominations, including Game of the Year. Other Game of the Year nominated games include Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on November 14. The game has since faced criticism over its alleged used of generative AI to create in-game artwork. Black Ops 7's concurrent player count on Steam, too, has lagged behind recent multiplayer shooters like Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders.

Valve has unveiled its next-generation PC/ console hybrid, called the Steam Machine. The device runs SteamOS out of the box, but allows users to install any OS they want. The console supports 4K gaming at 60fps and comes with the new Steam Controller. The Steam Machine will launch in early 2026.

Industry insiders and leakers say Valve is gearing up for a major announcement this week. The company could unveil its next VR headset, the Steam Frame, this week. Valve could also finally announce Half Life 3, rumours say.

FromSoftware has announced the first paid DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign. The co-op action survival game's DLC is titled The Forsaken Hollows, and it arrives December 4 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The DLC will add new playable characters, bosses, and Shifting Earth events to the base game.

Sony has unveiled a new 27-inch PlayStation gaming monitor for desktop gaming. The QHD monitor comes with support for HDR and VRR of up to 240Hz. The PlayStation gaming monitor also comes with a charging hook for the DualSense controller.
